"We are not the first to walk the stars, but we will be the last to fall. Our strength lies in our unity, and our will is our greatest weapon."
— Captain Elira Haze, Terran Vanguard
The Terrans, a resilient and adaptable species, are the heart of the galaxy's great expanse. Unlike the ancient and immortal races that shaped the course of history, the Terrans are a relatively young race, yet their drive, determination, and relentless spirit have allowed them to carve their place among the stars.
Physically, the Terrans are varied, but their greatest strength lies not in their size or innate power, but in their ability to adapt to any environment. Whether in the frigid void of space or the scorching heat of hostile planets, the Terrans thrive. Their bodies, though not as naturally formidable as other races, are enhanced by their ingenuity and advanced technology, allowing them to survive and thrive in the harshest conditions.
Terrans are known for their unyielding willpower and tenacity in the face of adversity. Their ability to unite across vast differences and work together toward a common goal has allowed them to overcome countless obstacles. Whether in times of peace or war, the Terrans are always striving forward, their resolve unbroken.
Their societies are built on the ideals of exploration, discovery, and progress. While they are not as ancient or powerful as the Old Ones, or as disciplined as the Sovereign, the Terrans' ability to innovate and adapt makes them a force to be reckoned with. They are constantly evolving, their cultures and technologies advancing with each generation.
As the galaxy continues to expand and change, the Terrans remain steadfast in their pursuit of knowledge and power. With their boundless energy, sharp minds, and unwavering determination, they are poised to play a central role in shaping the future of the galaxy.
Personality: Terrans are the most adaptable, flexible, and ambitious people among the common races. They are diverse in their tastes, morals, customs, and habits. Others accuse them of having little respect for the history of Andromeda.
Physical Description: Terrans typically stand from 5 feet to a little over 6 feet tall and weigh from 125 to 250 pounds, with men noticeably taller and heavier than women. Thanks to their penchant for migration and conquest, and to their short life spans, Terrans are more physically diverse than other common races. Their skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, their hair from black to blond (curly, kinky, or straight), and their facial hair (for men) from sparse to thick. Members of this race are often ostentatious or unorthodox in their grooming and dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, body piercings, and the like. Terrans have short life spans, reaching adulthood at about age 15 and rarely living even a single century.
Relations: Commonly Xenophobic as they mix with each other better than aliens, Terrans don't tend to mix with members of other races, among which they are known as “everyone’s former oppressor.” Terrans serve as soldiers, poloticians, magistrates, merchants, and functionaries of all kinds.
Morality: Terrans tend to scale in a grey or darker morality. Ther are a warlike race of conquerors commonly drunk on the stories of their former power.
