Not every people are cataloged. And not every power answers to the same histories that bind the great factions of Dwethia.
Some are remnants of shattered civilizations, clinging to purpose in the ruins of older ages.
Others are newly ascendant, carving their identity into the stars through conquest, survival, or belief.
Some follow ancient doctrines lost to time—while others invent their own truths in defiance of it.
A Custom Faction represents one of these forces.
They may be:
A splinter fleet that abandoned a greater empire
A coalition of unlikely species bound by necessity
A machine intelligence interpreting the will of long-dead creators
A cult, a rebellion, a trade dominion, or something stranger still
